چکیده مقاله:

The response of laying Japanese quails to dietary levels of energy and protein on performance, egg quality, hatchability, fertility and their effect on subsequent offspring live body weight was investigated. A total of 432 Japanese quails (13 weeks old) were divided into nine treatments. Each treatment comprised of four replicates of twelve birds (9 females and 3 males). Nine diets including three levels of metabolizable energy (ME) (11.51, 12.41 and 12.77 MJ/kg diet) and three levels of crude protein (CP) (180, 200 and 220 g/kg diet) in a 3 × 3 factorial design were formulated. Weight gain and egg production were higher in quails fed diets with high level of ME (12.77 MJ/kg diet) and CP (220 g/kg diet). Feed conversion ratio (FCR) improved linearly with the increase in dietary energy level, and the best FCR was obtained by 12.77 MJ ME/kg diet (P

Effect of different levels of dietary vitamin E on reproductive and productive performances in Japanese quails (Coturnix coturnix japonica)

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of dietary vitamin E on reproductive and productive parameters in Japanese quails. A total number of 240 female and 80 male Japanese quail were divided into five treatments with four replications in a completely randomized design. Experimental diets were zero control, 30, 60, 120 and 240 mg kg-1 of vitamin E. Fertility and total hatch...

Effects of Dietary Protein and Energy Levels on Productive and Reproductive Performance of Lactating Buffaloes

Twenty eight lactating buffaloes were used in a completely randomized design with 2×2 factorial arrangement of four experimental diets including low protein–low energy (LP-LE), low protein–high energy (LP-HE), high protein–low energy (HP-LE) and high protein–high energy (HP-HE). Results showed that the HP-HE diet recorded the highest digestibility coefficients of CP, EE, NFE, nutritive values, ...
